LAST DAY FOR LUNCH VISITORS MAY 18TH
Message from Dr. Kaminski
Well parents, it's that time when I have to make you aware that your children will soon be home for the summer. This is a pretty big event, so please start to plan accordingly! All kidding aside, we are down to the final ten days and they will go very quickly. Please continue to support your children by allowing as much outdoor play as possible, much reading before bed, and a bed time that is probably earlier than the sun going down.
I want to commend the Karin Cook, the BSE PTO, and all of the parents for making Staff Appreciation Week one that was monumental. Flowers, gifts, food, fun, and so much more took place in honor of our amazing teachers and staff thanks to all of YOU! We are all blessed to work in a community that supports the learning organization at such a level like you do. Thanks to all of you who took a minute to offer appreciate to our staff in any capacity. You are appreciated for being a gracious and kind community.
As we wrap up the school year, there are a few things to keep in mind:
- NWEA will soon be coming to an end.
- Make sure to read below for your iPad rental collection information.
- We will celebrate our 4th grade crew in the final days with a wonderful musical and outdoor picnic celebration.
- I also look forward to seeing all of you at the end of year Party in the Park on May 24th. Let's pack the Brooks School Park and end the year with some community fun!
I wish all of our BSE Moms a beautiful and happy Mother's Day with your families.
- Dr. Kaminski

The BSE Broadcasts continue strong and packed with stories highlighting learning at BSE. The Broadcasts below come from Miss Mulvaney's fourth grade classes. They are intensely collaborating throughout the entire process from seeking out possible stories, to planning, writing, editing, and filming. Enjoy this week's news.

REMINDER: Early Dismissals should be called into our office at (317) 915-4250.
All exceptions must be entered no later than 2:00 PM. If students are participating in after school activities but SDM does not reflect that, unfortunately they will not be able to stay.
SafeVisitor Badges
EVERYONE who wants to volunteer at any of the HSE schools much have a background check on file. Three is a fee associated with this process. Once approved, the background check is good for all HSE schools and lasts three years. Click here to start the process.
Also, per HSE Policy, visitors must have their SafeVisitor Badge scanned to check-in to the building. Please download the SafeVisitor App (iPhone/Android) or have your badge available when you come into the school. Looking up names occasionally leads to signing in the wrong guest.
Upon leaving the school, please turn your printed badge in to the office staff for quick check-out.
