Science - Mrs. Griffin
The students will be finishing up with the unit on interrelationships among organisms in the ecosystems. They will have the Ecology Test 2 on Friday, October the 5th. They will also have assignments from USA Test Prep and Study Island for grades.
Science - Mrs. Sexton
We will be studying parts of soil. This is the last section in our Ecology Unit.
ELA - Mrs. Templeton
The students will be reading another selection by Shirley Jackson. We will compare the two pieces of literature.
Stems quiz Tuesday.
Noun test Thursday. It will be accumulative with sentences.
Math - Mr. Smith
7th grade math students are completing chapter 2 on proportional relationships. They have a test on Illuminate on Friday, September 28ht. Students will be able to show you their test and their results on Illuminate and Powerschool. We will start chapter 3 ( percents) on Monday.
Dance - Mrs. Brewington
7th dance focus: We began our Pilobolus inspired weight sharing and counterbalance unit. Color Run information was sent home with your child. Please plan on participating if you are able. Voice - Mrs.. Fennell
Voice students are preparing for our second unit test on Tuesday, October 2. WE will begin a new unit that includes treble clef notenames. There will be a treble clef notenames quiz on Friday.
Drama - Mrs. Keenan
Students revised their scene performances based on feedback and notes and then presented to the class again this week. What a wonderfully talented and hard working group of individuals! Next week we will begin our play reading unit to focus on dramatic criticism, structure, analysis, and technical components.
SS & ELA - Mrs. Owensby
7th Grade SS
Students will test on Enlightenment on Thursday. We are beginning our study of the French Revolution.
7th Grade ELA
Students will spend the week doing an in-depth study of the importance of character in novels.
Social Studies - Mr. Creswell
Students will be learning about the Scientific Revolution and the Enlightenment this week.
