A Spanish travel agent plans and sells transportation and accommodations in Spanish speaking countries for customers. Advantages of being a travel agent is that you get a big discount off your own trips and sometimes recieve free stays at certain hotels. Travel agents also have the advantage of knowing where all the good places to stay are. To be a travel agent you will have to travel to different countries around the world to get a good feel of how a certain city or hotel is which can be a disadvantage for some people.
Education & Salary
As a Spanish travel agent you will need to have a high school diploma. Since you will work with a computer a lot it would be helpful to have vocational training. Some people get a bachelor's degree in travel and tourism, but it is not required. Employers also look to see that you have taken college courses in foreign languages (preferably speaking spanish fluently), geography, and world history.
