Permission Slips for Veteran's Day Performance

Our annual Veteran's Day Performance is a special event put on by Red Oak Elementary. Tomorrow, Tuesday on November 5th, we will go to the high school in the morning to practice for the performance. For students to be allowed to attend, we must have the completed permission slip returned before that day. Permission slips will be going home today. If your student will be participating in the performance on Tuesday night, they need to attend the practice.

Math Test Review

Mrs. Ramirez and Mrs. Inman have provided students with a 2nd six weeks overview to help students prepare for their CBAs this week in Math. Please refer to messages/class story information in Dojo for further instructions. Additional copies of the review are available in digital format or per request from the appropriate math teacher.

FOCUS of the Week

ELAR: I can identify antonyms. I can identify text structures.

Math: I can summarize a data set with multiple categories using a frequency table, dot plot, pictograph, or bar graph with scaled intervals. I can solve one and two-step problems using categorical data represented with the different types of graphs. I can use addition and subtraction to solve one and two-step word problems involving rounding, estimating, perimeter, etc.

Social Studies: I can identify ways in which people in the local community and other communities meet their needs for transportation. I can also determine how transportation has changed over time and describe the changes in a timeline and using words such as past, present, and future.

Science: I can explore different forms of energy and I can demonstrate and observe how position and motion can be changed.

Reading, Math, and Science will take district CBAs (6 weeks test) this week. This week is the last week of the 2nd six weeks.
