Called to More @ OLA
Week of March 7, 2022
saint patrick guides us to be "Called to More."
Updated EICS School Plan
OLA School Community,
On March 1st, the government of Alberta will lift many of the COVID restrictions throughout the province, continuing the process that began a few weeks ago. For our school this will mean the following:
Adults in OLA will not be required to wear masks, though they are welcome to do so. This applies to staff and parent volunteers.
Our Lady of the Angels will begin the process of re-integrating classes beyond cohorts. This will mean the return to school assemblies, parents in school, in person school functions, spectators at school events, field trips that intermingle with the public etc. Our first school wide celebration will be our Ash Wednesday Mass; we look forward to celebrating as a school community.
It has been a long two years of varied levels of restrictions. The next few days will represent a time of transition to what we all hope is a return to normal.
In order to assist during this time to keep OLA as safe as possible for all, we ask that you continue to monitor your children each day for symptoms, and keep them home when sick. Isolation requirements for those who are sick and those who test positive are still in place and represent an important tool to support each other.
water bottles
We do have a limited supply of plastic disposable cups for students who forget their water bottle, however, the OLA school community aims to reduce the use of these cups so that we can maintain a positive impact on the environment.
