Volunteers AND Sub Plans
I have a volunteer who came to our training that is new to Riverside. However, he has been a volunteer at other schools in the District. He is also a Riverside alum. He is anxious to begin volunteering. Please let me know if you have a need for a group of students and we will get him started.
Please be sure that you have your sub plans ready to go. Any subs that access our building should have access to your lesson plans for the day, the emergency plan, information about our PBIS program, and any other information about your classroom/students that will lead to a successful subbing experience. Sub plans should be easily visible when entering your classroom.
40 Weird Questions to Ask Your Students to Help You Get to Know Them Better
I ran across this quick article that I thought you might find useful. Some of the questions would not necessarily fit PK-5 so you would need to adjust for that. Take a peak:

CARE team
There are 2 ways to access CARE team. Each method requires a form to be filled out. The first way to access the form is by clicking the link below which automatically sends me an email:
The second way is to make a copy of the last 3 pages of your Riverside Elementary MTSS book which can be found in your Ship Log. If you have chosen the paper copy, please put the form in my mailbox.
Once I have received either form I will schedule you to meet with the CARE team.
PBIS corner
Thank you for making the adjustments to your 100's chart so that we can easily track the traveling Roadrunner!
Classrooms will need 3 trophies to be able to choose an open seat on Friday. Also, please make sure you have your up to date seating chart in the lunchroom. I will be making some spot checks this week and want to be sure I am working off the correct list.
Keep recognizing students for showing positive expectations. We want to keep that Roadrunner moving down the path!
