Teen Health Offers Vaccines
Moderna and Pfizer vaccines are in stock at all Teen Health Center Medical clinics.
In order to receive their vaccinations, minors (ages 12- 17) must have a Teen Health Consent Form (GISD families completed during school registration) and a Covid-19 Vaccine Consent Form signed by a parent or guardian. The Covid-19 consent may also be completed in Skyward Family Access.
Call (409) 761-3530 to schedule an appointment at the Teen Health clinic of your choice.
District Device Pickup (Middle & High School)
Galveston ISD Parents,
All middle and high school students must have a district device. Please arrange to pick up a Chromebook or other digital device for your child before the first day of school. Device distribution will take place Aug. 9-20, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the former Alamo Elementary School at 5200 Ave N ½. Please use the 51st Street entrance. Devices will only be handed out to students who have completed registration for the school year. Please bring identification indicating that you are the parent, guardian, or emergency contact listed in Skyward.
For the 2021-2022 school year, Galveston ISD is offering an OPTIONAL non-refundable Accidental Device Protection Fee (ADPF) to all students for $25 per student (with a $75 Family Maximum for parents with multiple students). This protection fee covers the first incident and accidental damage to the device. This fee will be added to all students for the 2021-2022 school year in Family Access. Parents are able to opt-out of this coverage, however, in doing so, they accept responsibility for the full cost of the replacement if the device is damaged. For more information on the ADPF and the Responsible Use Guidelines click here: https://bit.ly/3Aoh0FX
Galveston ISD is excited to announce a new web store, RevTrak! RevTrak is an online web store providing a convenient way for parents, students, and other patrons to make payments for district-related services. The system accepts credit cards and e-checks with a small transaction fee. To make a payment online, log into Skyward Family Access and click on Fee Management; this will direct you to our online web store. For instructions on how to make a payment, click here: https://bit.ly/3CmonPL . We encourage everyone who wishes to opt in to the Optional ADPF to pay online before picking up a device to ensure an expedited device check-out process. Call 409-766-5150 or email Payments@gisd.org if you have questions or need assistance with RevTrak.

SPARKING CURIOSITY AND DELIGHT
What:
When children show strong abilities in one academic area or another, the adults in their lives often encourage them to pursue hobbies and careers that play off those strengths. That may certainly be an advantage, but sometimes the strategy can leave children feeling incomplete. In this session, we’ll explore a path that supports academic growth while sparking curiosity in childhood. Learn more here.
How:
Simply fill out this form and we will send you a link to the webinar. We hope you'll join us! Want to share this event with someone? Download this flyer and share it with your peers.
