The Rocket Report Family Edition
August 27, 2021
Families,
We have really had to use our powers of flexibility this month, and I just want to commend every family for all the back and forth we have had with masks, no masks, etc. Children have adjusted very well to all the changes....I have always learned that in education flexibility should be my middle name.
Thank you for hanging tough with us! Rockets soar when the going gets tough!
Thankful for you all,
Nicole Greenleaf

PTA Membership Contest
Have you had a chance to join PTA?
For the month of September, we are having a school wide contest. If we increase our PTA enrollment by 50%, your child could have a chance to silly string Mrs. Greenleaf! All you have to do is sign up for PTA for them to have a chance to be one of the lucky students to silly string the principal.
You can sign up two ways:
1. Print and fill out the form and return it to school with the money enclosed.
2. Click the link and follow the steps: https://www.joinpta.org/
Already signed up? No worries! Your child's name will be put in the drawing too.
We can't wait to have you as part of our amazing PTA community!
If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Carter at carterd@cfbisd.edu.

Student Shout Outs
At Rainwater students can receive shout outs from any teacher in the building. Students can earn a shout out for reaching academic goals, being kind to their peers, helping teachers, working hard to complete assignments, or any other positive character trait. We are so excited to celebrate our students successes.
Meet the Assistant Principal
Mrs. Fisher
Hello Rainwater Rockets!
I am extremely excited about being a member of the Rainwater Family! During my twenty-two years in education, I’ve had the opportunity to serve children in many different capacities. I started my career in Dallas ISD as a teacher and an instructional coach. Next, I taught in Plano ISD and then got the opportunity to be a Science Consultant at Region 10 ESC. In the last five years, I have learned and grown as an assistant principal in Amarillo ISD.
I received my bachelor’s degree from Midwestern State University and my master’s degree from Texas Woman’s University. I have been married to my husband Chris for twenty-one years. He teaches and coaches football at Creekview. We have four children, three girls and the bonus of raising my nephew. Darion is twenty-three and working as a manager for an irrigation company in Dallas. Alyssa is eighteen and is starting her second year as a Longhorn at The University of Texas. Jaylen is sixteen, a junior in high school, and plays the flute in the band. Lastly, Aynslee is a fourth grader and a Rainwater Rocket!
As a family, we love attending football games together, swimming in our pool, and spending time with family and friends. This summer we visited Galveston and relaxed on the beach. We also moved into a new house, which kept us extremely busy!
I have loved getting to know the students of Rainwater. This year is going to be amazing!
