Weekly Recap
Hopefully this message finds you in good spirits. This has been a productive and eventful week and end of the 1st Semester. Various grade levels met and/or exceeded the district's goal for Benchmark exams. 5th grade met the 98% goal for attendance. We celebrated the 80th day of school in our 1980s attire. Scholars had a chance to participate in other dress up days. Principal Anderson received the Excellence in Leadership Award for the month of December, and how about that Annual Holiday Program?! Our scholars did a phenomenal job performing, and that is attributed to Ms. Peterbark's efforts and dedication and you for getting them there. The set was spectacular, and that's thanks to several faculty members taking out time to make it a beautiful sight to see for you and our scholars.
As we go into the Winter Break, our hope is that our scholars will have time to enjoy family and friends while taking time to reflect on the progress that they have made this 1st semester and what they can do it keep that momentum going or increase it so that they can continue on this race to excellence. If you and your family travel over the holidays, we wish you safe travels on your journey. Whether traveling or not, our hope is that our scholars remain safe, respectful, and responsible in all that they do.
When wondering about key dates, be sure to review The Lake Ridge Bridge and the calendar located on the campus's website. As events are scheduled, dates are updated so that you can have a place to reference.
Read the information located on below in the newsletter to see performances from our Annual Holiday Program, view scenes from the week, and learn about campus/district happenings, important reminders, news from APD and PTA, and upcoming events. Always remember that "The Race for Excellence has No Finish Line."
Question for You to Pose over the Break: What will you do to start the 2nd semester on "the right foot" and finish the school year strong?
