Breaking News
The Constitution
The students analyzed the Declaration of Independence. They viewed it as a “break-up song”, and wrote very creative versions of their letter to King George declaring their rights.
Request for Class Supplies
It’s that time of year when we have a lot of sneezing, coughing, and runny noses in the classroom. We could use some paper towels, disinfectant wipes, and tissues so the kids don’t spread germs.
Upcoming Due Dates
Thursday, 10/24: Working Thesis Statement Due in Google Classroom
Classroom Happenings
This week, students enjoyed developing their cooperation and teamwork skills.
Students continued their research for NHD, and practiced analyzing historical photographs from Webster. Students learned about Douglass High School.
Students began examining possible images for their NHD project and submitted 5 sources they have located. The students have identified two primary sources and three secondary sources.
National History Day is Monday, December 16, 2019 at Hixson Middle School from 5 p.m.-7 p.m.
