MATH with ELIZA!!!
Making Math Stations Simple (K-5)
How do you create math stations to support student learning without spending hours and hours of preparation time? Come learn how to focus on what children should know and be able to do while working on the station and keep it simple so you can implement simply and with intention. Classroom management, organization, and station ideas will be shared, modeled, and discussed.
Participants will:
Learn how to organize effective simple math stations.
Participate in math station ideas.
Discuss simple math station implementation
Plan for implementation in their educational setting.

Putting the “Story” Back Into Math Story Problems (K-8)
Why do students struggle with problem solving in story problems? Come learn ways to put the story back into story problems by teaching tangible strategies for solving problems, ways to make problems more interesting for students, and techniques for connecting reading comprehension to mathematical problem solving.
Participants will:
Analyze a variety of problem-solving strategies currently being utilized.
Align what good readers do compared to what good mathematicians do.
Create a problem-solving tool for students to implement when solving mathematical story problems.
Practice solving math story problems to adjust accordingly for student need.
