Stars and Wish:
It has been a joy to get into classrooms and see the process and procedures already in progress so well! The students are doing a wonderful job transitioning this year due to your hard work!
Stars:
- Already seeing small group instruction throughout the day for reading, writing, and math. Students' needs are getting met - powerful!
- Incorporating technology into many daily rotations and learning throughout the day. Another great resource/tool being implemented for our students.
- Rotations are being monitored so well - even while doing small group work at the table. No eyes like teacher eyes:)
Wish:
- Make time to complete your must do/may do list by the end of September and get growth plan completed by September 18. All ideas and resources for your 3rd goal are listed on Canvas https://springfieldpublicschools.instructure.com/courses/174521/pages/educator-evaluator-training-and-resources

Data Folders
I am putting colorful sticky notes in the box of one teacher per team to use in creating data folders. Your folder can be done another way if something different works better for you; however, the goal is to know which kids are advanced/proficient/basic/below basic based on iReady data and be able to track throughout the year the movement of the kids on the various colored post its. On the post it you should have student name and reading level/math level - two folders may be needed for reading and math. Some may prefer to do electronically - whichever you decide that works best for you is fine. We will discuss data at an upcoming grade level team meeting in October.
