Welcome to 2023 Akron School students and families. The start of a year always presents us with a chance to pause and reflect on the past year and set goals and priorities for the new year. Hopefully, the holiday break provided each of you with the chance to reflect and reset. This school year we have chosen to focus on the power of positivity and we continue to keep that focus with the hope of building on the positive things that happened during the first semester. A key element of a positive attitude and outlook is gratitude. It's nearly impossible to be positive without being grateful. Choose to be grateful and positive!

What if you woke up tomorrow, with only the things you were grateful for yesterday?

The Northeast BOCES was awarded a $2 million grant, to be dispersed over a two year period. This large grant is focused on Career Connected Learning and helping Northeast BOCES school districts to better prepare students for the challenges that come their way after graduation. As part of this grant school districts are charged with developing more opportunities for work based learning, and strengthening their partnerships with businesses. 4th - 8th Grade Students will have Safe 2 Tell class assemblies on January 10th. The assembly will be conducted by Brett Cogswell, with Safe 2 Tell, and will focus on how to utilize this resource.
