Soledad Community Kids Program at Frank Ledesma
The district has opened another small group cohort at Frank Ledesma. The program started on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. This small group cohort is serving 13 students including three sibling pairs and 6 individual students. Many of the students admitted to the daytime program at Frank are students struggling to complete assignments as well as students of essential workers. These daytime students are coming everyday, logging in, enaging in their lessons, and completing assigned work. We hope to pursue future programs as staffing allows.
ELPAC Testing Update
EL TOSAs are nearly complete with all initial ELPAC (English Language Proficiency Assessments of California) testing. There are less than five students district wide needing to make-up their initial assessments that are due November 12, 2020. Additionally, EL TOSAs (English Lanugage - Teachers on Special Assignment) have tested 68 high school students that needed to complete the spring 2020 assessment that was interrupted by COVID. EL TOSA, Melissa Armer, has identified a handful of students that meet the necessary requirements for reclassification at the high school after completing the spring 2020 assessment. Good job EL TOSAs!
