GRADUATION TICKETS

• All graduates will receive 3 free tickets at the mandatory Graduation Practice. Additional tickets may be purchased for $15 each in the USB office or at the door on graduation day- Cash only.

SENIORS' LAST DAY

• THE LAST DAY FOR SENIORS TO BE ON CAMPUS WAS Friday 5/20/2022. Students will not be allowed on campus after this date unless it is for Senior related activities. Please make sure to take care of all school business outside of the school day or make arrangements to be on campus.

SENIOR CHROMEBOOK RETURN

• Seniors who checked out a school Chromebook or other device will need to check the items into DBHS to receive their diploma and transcript. Devices, along with their power cords, can be returned on the following dates and locations:

SENIOR BREAKFAST: Before the event in the gym

GRADUATION PRACTICES: Before the event in front of the gym

*Note - Students returning devices without power cords will be charged a $20 fee.

On Thursday, May 19 & Friday, May 20, we celebrated our Brahma Student-Athletes who signed National Letters of Intent to continue athletics in College! (Click HERE for details!) Thursday's event was a great opportunity to celebrate with peers, and Friday's luncheon allowed our student-athletes to share lunch with their parents, influential teacher, and their head coach.

Special thanks to our Athletic Directors, Alexis Feix and Kurt Davies, and our Athletic Secretary, Yvonne Manly for organizing the special event to celebrate!

Our Spring 2022 Final Exams for Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors are Tuesday, May 24 - Thursday, May 26, 2022.

Reminder, our Senior Final Exams were last week and our seniors are done! Seniors are not to be on campus during school hours unless for Senior Activities.

On Wednesday, May 18, we had the honor of celebrating DBHS students, teachers, and our Partner in Education award at the Walnut Valley Board of Trustees Meeting!

At this meeting, our Super Star Student, Jonah Reyes, Council of African American Parents (CAAP) Stand & Deliver Oratory contest finalists, Joy Mitchell, Kyle Loquet, Gozie Ejike, Joel Mwathi , & Olivia James (3rd Place finish!), our Partner in Education, CAPA President Mrs. Cindy Huang, and our new teachers for 2021-2022 (pictured above), Avina Amanda, Jason Bae, Geraldine Chan, Nicolle Flores, Melanie Gonzalez, Gizelle Hernandez, Sergio Navarro, John Pierce, Ashlyn Power, Jill Riley, Salem Robles, and Giovanna Santiago were introduced and celebrated with our Board Members and WVUSD Executive Cabinet.

Thanks to our Superintendent, Dr. Taylor for welcoming us to the Board Meeting to recognize our students, teachers and parents!

Graduation Marquee Message

If you would like to put a “Congrats” message on the marquee for that special someone grab an envelope from the front office or the Activities Office in the USB room. The messages will cost $25 cash and the messages will run from May 21 - May 27, 2022.

Each MONDAY at DBHS, we will be providing voluntary COVID testing for all WVUSD students and staff. The drive-through clinics will occur in our Faculty Parking lot. Testing is also available at Suzanne Middle School (Tuesday), South Pointe Middle School (Wednesday), Walnut High School (Tuesday) and Walnut City Library (Thursday).

Please utilize the registration link if you would like to COVID test.

*No appointments are needed, but preregistration is requested.
