Role Of Women in the Workforce
By: Rebeca Vasquez , Danny Hernandez
Historical Background
- We see this happening in the years of 1848 - 1920
- An important person at the time was Mary Wollstonecraft wrote A Vindication of the rights of women in 1792 to impower women to do more
- People value my topic because women would be able to be equal with man and be able to work and make money for their family
- We see my topic being used in the industrial revolution by having women work with men . women are working the same amount of time and doing the exact same thing but the women are getting paid less than men.
Impacts within Great Britain during the industrial Rev.
- Social : women worked just like men but got paid very low
- Economic : with women working families are making more money for their family and household
- Political : in 1928, the conservation government passed the representation of the people ( equal franchise ) act giving the vote to all women over the age of 21
Impacts on the world during the Industrial Rev.
- Social : women were respected and treated equal . women worked where they wanted . women worked with men and there was no problem with it . women didn't have to worry about being discriminated
- Economic : Family would be making more money . with women and men working they would both be making money and they would be combining their money to have more money for their families.
- Political : In 1928 , the conservation government passed the Representation of the people (equal franchise) act giving the vote to all women over the age of 21.
The modern Day Counterpart
- People now a day don't really noticed weather if they are working with women or men. there's no problem with women and men working together .
- women discrimination still happens today in certain situations . women should know their rights to stop this from happening.
