OST Classes for Session 2 Starting Soon
Homework Club 4th - 8th Must be signed up for OST. It can be used as a drop in “as needed” class, or use it everyday as a quiet place to do homework. A teacher is there to help and guide students in their homework. Mon/Tues - Mrs. Cameron Wed/Thurs - Mrs. Secor
Battle of the Books 3rd-8th Mrs Neiger will continue to supervise Students from 3-5 grades and also 6-8 grades to help them prepare for the Oregon Battle of the Books in the Spring. New students are welcome if they are ready to buckle down and read! Students must be interested in reading from a list of 16 selected books. Students who are interested ,will start practicing for the DCD OBOB competition and the team that wins will be able to go to the regional finals! OBOB days depend on interest. Most likely the same as the Fall OST if we have same amount of interest.
Leadership 5th& 6th Hosted by Mrs. Wright Are you interested in finding ways you can help support your school? Want to help plan fun activities and become a part of our School Leadership team? Then consider joining our Leadership club, with Mrs. Wright! We will plan House activities, support the student store, plan socials and other school activities.
Newspaper 6th - 8th Hosted by Mrs. Wright Middle Schoolers! Interested in writing for our school newspaper? The DCD times? Consider joining us in Newspaper Club, with Mrs. Wright. Each week we will work on a new edition of the DCD Times that will be shared with your classmates.
Learn to Play Ukulele 6th-8th Hosted by Mrs. Reviere Have you always wanted to learn how to play an instrument? The ukulele is easy to learn and fun to play. You'll learn how to hold the instrument, how to play chords, how to strum, and how to sing and play at the same time. Ukuleles will be provided for school use only and cannot be taken home. Hope you can join us!
Art 5th-8th Hosted by: Anna Litzenberg Come use your imagination and creativity. Together we will create pieces of modern/contemporary art. Some of the projects will possibly be drawing, painting, origami, and collages.
