Barbara Walters was born on September 25, 1929 in Boston, MA. Barbara Walters is 86 years old. Her full name is Barbara Jill Walters. She is an American Broadcast journalist, author and a television personality. Barbara Walters was the first female co-anchor.
Barbara Walters was born Jewish. She had two siblings, an older sister Jacqueline who was disabled and died in 1985 and a brother named Burton who died of pneumonia in 1932. She went to Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York and graduated in 1953. She got her first job in journalism as an assistant to some director, she later moved to CBS. In 1955 she married a man named Robert Henry Kutz, they later divorced in 1958.
In May 2013 Barbara Walters announced her retirement from television journalism. She was off the air in 2014, but continued as an executive producer on her talk show The View. Barbara Walters has won many awards and has also received many honorary doctoral degrees.
