THIS WEEK....
READ 100 MINUTES A WEEK. IT IS SUGGESTED THE STUDENTS READ 20 MINUTES A NIGHT FOR 5 NIGHTS.
Students may have homework coming home throughout the week from small group Champs.
Monday-Sign Purple Spelling Folder. Due Tuesday.
Spelling: find 5 words to fit the pattern: long o spelled -oa or -o(consonant)e

WHAT ARE WE LEARNING ABOUT?
MATH: MAP Testing
SCIENCE: Over the next few weeks, students will be working to answer the question: What does it mean to be healthy?
Throughout this unit, students will show their learning by:
- designing and creating a health museum that explains important health information
- communicating information about personal health habits and safety rules
- setting personal health goals
We know a strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education. You can support your child’s learning by talking with your child about this unit and encouraging her/him to ask questions and think hard.
We are looking forward to our second graders embarking on their journey of learning!
