3A: A Week at a Glance
December 3, 2014
A Note From Mrs. Adams
I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving! Just a few important reminders.
- Book orders can be placed at any time by going to https://orders.scholastic.com/LFVF9. If you would like me to "hide" the books to save for the holidays, let me know and I will email you when they arrive.
- Student-Led Conferences are next week, from December 10th through the 15th. The students will be leading most of the conference, so please be sure they are with you during the conference. Siblings will have to wait outside, as this is a special time to focus on your third grader.
- Early Dismissal on Wednesday the 10th
- No school on Friday the 12th
- Early Dismissal on Monday the 15th
- Early Dismissal on Tuesday the 23rd to lead into Winter Break (already?!?)
Enjoy the pictures and video below!
Turkey Buddies
We had fun meeting with our Kindergarten buddies. We played a game with dice and created silly turkeys. We love working with our buddies!
The Continent Song
In Social Studies, we are working on maps and where we live. We will be making a "Me on the Map" flip book next week to show where we live, including our town, county, state, region, country, continent, and planet. 3A has been extremely interested in learning about the continents, so we thought it would be fun to sing a song to help remember them. Have fun singing!

Reading Retreat!
Our school earned a reading retreat after helping break our summer reading record on Scholastic.com! Way to keep up the good reading!!
