SHS Community Newsletter
WEEK OF NOVEMBER 13th-17th
PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE
Scappoose Students, Families, and Staff,
I want to extend a special thank you to all of our local veterans for your service. I also want to thank Kristen Hagen, our kitchen staff, staff volunteers, our incredible band and choir programs, and all of our leadership students for their work in hosting the annual Veteran’s Breakfast.
Thank you to the families that made our Fall Conferences a success. The fantastic staff at SHS were able to make connections with families to discuss the achievements and areas of improvement with our students. Grades are up to date. Please take a moment to look at those with your student and contact teachers if needed.
Please reference the links below for upcoming dates and events. Have a great week and thank you for your continued support of our students!

ATHLETIC NEWS/SCHEDULES
We are wrapping up an incredible fall season of athletics at Scappoose, where every team advanced to the playoffs!
Football defeated the Ashland Grizzlies 34-13 last Friday to advance to the Elite Eight and will host the Cougars of Cascade tomorrow night at 7:00 pm.
Cross Country concluded a fantastic fall campaign by racing in the State Championships in Eugene on Saturday. Although the conditions were extremely wet and the rain tried to dampen our efforts, Seniors Samantha Heimbuck and Taiki Ogawa led the Indians with Taiki earning 2nd Team All-State Honors.
Girls Soccer hosted the semifinal 4A State Championship match on Tuesday. Although we played exceptionally well, North Marion advanced to Saturday’s championship match with their 3-1 victory. We are excited about our girl’s program bringing home another state trophy.
All-League Honors will be released in next week’s newsletter.
