We're Going on a Study Trip!

Our class will be traveling to Ritchey Woods for our final study trip of this year on Wednesday May 4th.

Every child will need to bring a completely disposable lunch and drink. Your child will also need to bring their afternoon snack to school this day. Please pack these separately so that your child does not have their snack with them on the field trip.

Just as in the fall, Ritchey Woods limits the number of chaperones that may attend study trips. Thank you to all the parents who volunteered to accompany us on our study trip. We randomly drew names and Mr. Wheeldon, Mrs. Holle and Mrs. Battin were chosen for this trip.

Lemonade Week

4th grade will be selling lemonade for $.50 a cup the week of May 9th. A permission slip will be coming home on Monday. Your child will have the opportunity to purchase a cup of lemonade each day if they bring in their money and signed permission slip. This is completely optional and the money raised will go to charities chosen by our fourth grade students.

Spirit Week

The week of May 2nd is Spirit Week!

Monday - PJ Day (Please do not send pillows or blankets. Small stuffed animals are appropriate.)

Tuesday - Wear Cardinal Red

Wednesday - Wear a Yellow or Hawaiian Shirt

Thursday - Wear Green or a Crazy Hat

Friday - TCE Spirit

Inventor's Box

Any of the items listed below would be wonderful additions to help start our Inventor's Box! If it can be recycled, we likely will use it to create something!

  • tape
  • empty water/soda bottles
  • paper towel or toilet paper rolls
  • small boxes
  • buttons
  • pipe cleaners
  • rubber bands

We began NWEA testing this week and will continue next week. Results will be sent home later in May, once the district has finished testing. Thank you for supporting your child's education and all of their hard work this year. You are appreciated!

iPad Rentals for the 2015-16 School Year

Many of you have asked about iPad rentals for next year. The district will be sending a letter with detailed information in the coming weeks. I will do my best to answer any questions you may have in the interim. Thank you!

Just a reminder that the front office is now taking late yearbook orders. The price is $20, payable to TCE PTO. Your name will be placed on a waiting list once payment is received. Yearbooks will be distributed in late May.
