The South in the 1800s
- Geography in the south was warm climates, idea for growing sugar cane plentiful rainfall
- economy they had the cotton gin, they had small houses, they bought slaves they found sways to clean seeds`
- society . free blacks were often forced to pay fees , 10% of whites were poor , slavery deeply affected people in the south
