FFA SHIRT FRIDAY
Dairy Evaluation CDE
Event Highlight: Evaluate Dairy Cattle, Read and interpret dairy cattle herd records
Practice: 10/2, 10/9, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30 until 3:30 pm
Students will be expected to study at home.
Students will be taking a preliminary exam on November 13 after school until 4:00 pm. If students qualify, they will continue to the State level on February 16th at the Florida State Fair.

Food Science CDE
Practice: 10/3 10/10, 10/17, 10/24, 10/31 until 3:30 pm
Students will be expected to study at home.
Students will be taking a preliminary exam on November 13 after school until 4:00 pm. If students qualify, they will continue to the State level on February 2nd at UF in Gainesville.

Record Book Workshop
Students will work together through the first section of the fair record books.

Giving-Thanks Necessity Drive
Everyone goes through hard times in life, but having a community that will step up and help can BE THE DIFFERENCE.
FFA will be collecting necessity items for those in our community that are less fortunate and are unable to purchase these necessity items.
Items that are needed for the collection include:
- Toothpaste
- Toothbrush
- Brush
- Hair Ties
- Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Body Wash
- Wash Cloths
- Socks
- Plastic Bins

We will be packing Giving-Thanks Necessity Boxes on 11/12/18 until 3:30pm
Prepared Public Speaking LDE
The purpose of this Leadership Development Event is to develop agricultural leadership through agricultural public speaking.
Event Highlights: develop a 4-6 minute speech about an agricultural topic of your choice and present the speech to a panel of judges.
Speeches are due 11/1/18
Practice will be on 11/13 and 11/27 until 3:30 pm.
Students will be expected to study at home.

Extemporaneous Public Speaking LDE
This Leadership Development Event is designed to develop the ability of FFA members to express themselves on a given subject without having prepared or rehearsed its content in advance, therefore causing FFA members to formulate their remarks for presentation in a very limited amount of time. Student should be knowledgeable in many areas of agriculture and agricultural events.
Event Highlights: develop a 4-6 minute speech on a randomly selected agricultural topic within the 30 minute time limit and present the speech to a panel of judge.
Practice will be on 11/6 until 3:30 pm.
Students will be expected to study at home.

Opening and Closing Ceremony LDE
When: 11/7, 11/14, 11/28 until 3:30 pm
Students will be expected to study at home.
