Greetings from the Superintendent's Office

As we begin a new month, I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the staff, students and families of the Clarkton School District. Since school began in August, you all have weathered many storms. From virtual learning to hybrid schedules to unexpected water shut offs, we have worked together to continue to bring educational opportunities to our students. I am extremely grateful to be a part of this community!


Over the next several months, we will face new challenges as flu season begins. Please continue to remind your children to practice social distancing and review with them the importance of properly washing their hands. We will reinforce this message here at school. Our mission is to continue to provide our students a safe and secure learning environment and we appreciate your unwavering support of this mission!

Substitute Teachers Needed

Have you ever considered becoming a substitute teacher? Now is a great time to become a substitute! Recently, the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education put new guidelines in place making it possible for more people to become substitutes. If you have a high school diploma, GED, or HiSET, you can be eligible by completing a 20-hour online training course. If you complete the course by November 4, 2020, DESE will reimburse the costs of the online course and the application fee. Click the link below for more details!
