What is the reason behind the Noble Gases' Positioning on the Periodic Table of Elements?

These noble gasses are so chivalrous, that they let all the other groups come before them! In all seriousness, they are the last group,18. These chums were thought to be inert gasses until good ol’ 1960! Hooray for hippies everywhere! The noble gasses don’t make friends easily, as they have eight electrons on their outermost shell, making them really stable. So long story short, noble gasses are your friends.

Do the Noble Gases have any Boiling and Melting Points

No, none of these elements have any melting or boiling points. They are gases and they cannot melt or boil.

What Uses Noble Gases Everyday

You see these elements in regular everyday life. Helium is used in balloons to make them float. Neon lights have neon in them to make them "neon" lights. Something that not many people know is that krypton is used in lighthouse lights.


The Noble gases are very stable due to the amount of Valence Electrons they contain but, even though that is true, some elements have bad effects. Radon is a primary cause of indoor air pollution.

What does this group react with?

Noble Gases are extremely non-reactive due to their filled valance shell. Noble gases were set apart and distinguished relatively late compared to other element groups.
