University Avenue OPEN - Wednesday Morning
DOT has shared the exciting news with us that University Avenue will be open in time for the Wednesday morning commute. One change in the new stretch of University is a new crosswalk that replaced the pedestrian bridge at Sandvik. The new crosswalk includes a signal system that will be new to drivers in town. Below is an image and a video link to learn more about what what different signals mean.
If your student drives on this stretch as well, please feel free to share this information with them as well. More information can be found online: dot.alaska.gov/hawk
