Dr. Hector P. Garcia Middle School Newsletter

May 15-19, 2017

Greetings Gladiator Community,

We ended the STAAR testing week by delivering ice cream sandwiches to every student in the building! What fun! The students are always thankful and surprised by the gesture. Our PTA is gracious for supporting this annual treat so our students know how much we appreciate their hard work!

The last day to purchase yearbooks ONLINE is Sunday 5/14. After that, the yearbook must be purchased on campus with a cash/checks only.

Yearbook distribution will be 'party style' after school on Monday 5/22 in the GYM from 3:45 to 5:30. Students who can't get the book at that time can get their book from Mr. Barksdale in C115 on Tuesday.

Here is a link to our upcoming campus events:

Our annual awards ceremony will be held Wednesday, May 31st during the school day. If your child is receiving an award, they will be notified next week.

Students Turned Chefs

Our talented FCS students in Ms. Jody Osteen's class spoiled our staff this week with two catered luncheons. What a treat during STAAR testing to receive a homemade lunch by our incredible students.
