INFLUENZA, CORONAVIRUS, AND RESPIRATORY ILLNESS
The time of year when we see a seasonal uptick in fevers, respiratory symptoms/viruses, vomiting and diarrhea is here. We continue to see students out with various illnesses, and we are asking for your cooperation and diligence in following District policy found here in order to keep all students healthy.
Your child needs to stay home if he/she has had a fever over 100 in the past 24 hours. In order to return, the child must be fever free without the use of medication for 24 hours. Please do not send your child to school with medication in his/her system to mask a fever; your child will not be the best learner, and illnesses will continue to spread.
If your child has vomited or had diarrhea in the past 24 hours, he/she also needs to stay home.
Washing your hands along with covering coughs and sneezes are the best ways to prevent transferring germs and illnesses to others.
It is not too late to get your flu shot! Contact your primary care provider or the Franklin Health Department at 414-425-9101.
While there is one confirmed case of Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in Wisconsin, the risk to the general public is still extremely low. In order to ensure that we are compliant with CDC recommendations for responding to potential exposures, we need you to inform the school if you or your child has traveled to China within the last 14 days immediately. Please do not assume that someone of Asian descent is more likely to have 2019-nCoV. All persons in the U.S.—including those of Asian descent—who have not traveled to China or been in contact with someone with a confirmed or suspected nCoV case in the last 14 days are at low risk of becoming sick.
District Nurses are in frequent communication with state and local health officials on the latest recommendations regarding preventing the spread of illness at school. For more information about our District Health policies, see our Health Services page of the District website. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as the health and safety of all students is our top priority.

Submit requests on this form only. Please include the entire time frame you will be in the buildings, not just the event time.
Click here for a 20-21 Calendar
All PTO/PTA Events should be submitted to the Rec Dept as well but it wouldn't hurt to give your school secretaries a list of those for reference, along with who the lead person will be in case we need to contact them for any reason.
Events that run only during the school day should have the form submitted to the school secretaries.
