Faculty Spotlight
Meet the Physical Education and Health Instructors! L-R, Julie Cavicchio, Don Marini, Franice Cassullo and Chris Kane. Together these instructors have over 85 years of teaching and coaching experience.
The Physical Education Department offers courses to students in grades 9-12. All grade 9 students take a Health course and they have the option of a Health elective as an upperclassman. All students take PE courses, and students can select from a number of great electives, such as yoga and aerobics, personal fitness and team sports. The goal of the department is to create healthy habits for students, and to encourage physical activity throughout life.
Mr. Marini is in his 10th year at Keefe Tech and thrives on coaching students on the benefits of physical activity and how being active can be fun. In his spare time, he and his wife enjoy hikes with their dog Felix.
Ms. Cassullo is in year 11 at Keefe Tech and loves physical fitness and all the life lessons that she and her students can learn from training and competing. When not teaching, she likes to get creative in the kitchen or work on house projects.
Ms. Cavicchio is in her 13th year at Keefe Tech and loves both the challenges and the laughter she gains from working with her students in both her health and her science classes. Outside of school she enjoys hiking with her dogs, photography, and meditation.
Mr. Kane is wrapping up his whopping 33rd year at Keefe Tech! Both a PE teacher and our Director of Athletics, Mr. Kane enjoys watching the students take full advantage of all the great things our school has to offer - and urges everyone to get involved in order to make the most of high school! When not at school, Mr. Kane likes to stay active with all types of outdoor activities and enjoys vacationing with his family.
Three cheers for the Health/PE faculty!
