News and Notes from the Principal!
It is hard to believe that the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year is upon us. This school year is bound to be the #BESTYEARYET as we have leveled up and added the most dynamic educators to our staff. The level of learning planned has me eager to be a kid again and jump right in on the fun learning activities planned. We look forward to caring for your children, educating your children and most importantly loving your children daily!
It is no secret that Richmond Hill has continued to grow, and this includes McAllister. We are very excited about the new rock star teachers we added to our faculty for this school year to accommodate our growth—we now have more than 1,250 students that will enter our doors on Monday, August 6, 2018! For this reason, we have added over 20 staff members and learning cottages between the 200 & 300 wings that will accommodate our 5th grade teachers and students.
Prior to the first day of school we look forward to welcoming our students/parents to Open House on Thursday, August 2, 2018 (4-6pm). You should receive a phone call from your child's homeroom teacher prior to Open House.
These first few days are filled with great hustle and bustle, so please be sure to stay abreast of our upcoming events to join us when you are able. Please connect to our REMIND by texting @mesupdates to 81010. This feature allows McAllister to notify parents of upcoming events, deadlines, etc.
