BLUE CARD DISTRIBUTION

ATTN: ALL SPRING SPORT ATHLETES:
You will need a Healthy Roster account to enter all information and paperwork. If you do not have a Healthy Roster account, click this link:
Part of the paperwork needed to upload, is a copy of the athlete's curent sports physical. This will need to be dated 2/1/21 or after.
Once you have submitted all paperwork on Healthy Roster, you may pick up your Blue Card in the Athletic Trainers Room (Becky's office) after school on February 25.
Please make sure all fines and lunch accounts are paid. Blue cards will not be distributed if the student has a fine on their Tyler Account. All fines should be paid on Tyler through the PARENT Portal. If you need help with logging into your account, please contact our registrar, Mrs. Davis: ddavis@afftonschools.net

NEED A PHYSICAL??
- MinuteClinic is open every day, including evenings. We are currently in Cass, Platte and Saint Louis counties. Find a local clinic
- The typical cost for a sports physical is $69 – seasonally discounted rates are available (Note: physicals are a self-pay service)
- Outside of physicals, most services are billable to insurance, and we accept most insurances
- If the athlete is under 18 years old, please inform them to come with their legal guardian or parent
- Patients can go online to make an appointment at www.cvs.com/minuteclinic/services/sports-physicals or just scan the QR code

Work with excellent Junior and Senior mentors to conduct freshmen orientation the day before school starts. We use the LINK Crew curriculum. We also do team building exercises throughout the year that help the freshmen get acclimated and succeed in high school. Also promotes getting involved in at least one sport/club/activity while in high school.

Health Occupations Students of America is a national professional organization for students interested in a healthcare career. The officers are elected and meet once a month to plan activities for the organization. TEAMS (Tests of Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics, and Science)

Middle and High School competition helping students discover their potential for engineering. Using math, science, and 21st. Century learning skills. Students work together to problem-solve real world challenges. Throughout the competition, students work collaboratively to solve original and innovative engineering scenarios focused on an annual theme. The test consists of both a collaborative multiple-choice section and an open-ended design competition with a common engineering-based theme. We take three teams of 8-9 students to Rolla (University of Missouri Science and Technology) for the full day competition each spring.
