From Mr. Merrick
Dear St. Jerome Families,
The Catholic Schools Week schedule is below; we look forward to celebrating Catholic education here at St. Jerome. We will be starting the week with the 9:30 AM Mass on Sunday- you are welcome to attend either in-person or virtually (we will be streaming because of the limited capacity of the church for social distancing and for those unable to attend in person at this time). I encourage any students attending the Mass in-person to wear their school uniforms to show our parish community our school pride.
We are also beginning registration for the 2021-2022 school year: a letter, tuition chart, and registration forms have been sent home in the Wednesday Folder (they are also available below). Thank you for your support as we begin planning for another great year for our students. Please return the forms by February 26th.
We appreciate the efforts of Mrs. Schmidt’s 6th grade class who were our readers as well as attended our January school Mass in-person; the rest of our students attended virtually. Even though we can’t all assemble in the same space, it is a great blessing to be able to gather to worship as a school community.
We are so privileged to be able to welcome four of our students into the Catholic Church through the waters of Baptism. Elijah (8th), Akeem (5th), and Jordan (1st) during our school liturgy this past Friday and Basia (7th) last Sunday. Congratulations!
Congratulations to our Students of the Month for January who were recognized for living the virtue of gratitude: John Zimmerman, Richard Loewen, Kayla DuBeck, Edward Fitzhenry, Kaitlyn Harrigan, Victor Nguyen, Anthony Blade, Ciera Schaeffler, Nicholas Bittinger, Olivia Czapla, Erin Jackson. We will be practicing and recognizing honesty for the month of February.
Have a great rest of the week; St. Jerome, pray for us!
Registration for 2021-2022
Catholic Schools Week Birthday Boxes
As one of our Catholic Schools Week service projects, each homeroom is going to assemble 2 birthday boxes --- one for a boy and one for a girl age-appropriate to their grade. We will have 2 bakery boxes to put the items inside, and the outside will be decorated by the students. Please click here for the sign up sheet (you can sign up for multiple items and grades if you would like).
All the birthday boxes will be donated to the Catholic Social Services Family Service Center. Even though the COVID-19 restrictions may not allow for a large gathering, these birthday boxes will allow families in need, who come to Catholic Social Services for food and clothing, to provide for a special birthday for their child, especially in these challenging times.
Please bring in all items by Monday, February 1st, so that we can assemble the boxes and deliver them to Catholic Social Services. If we have any extra items, we will assemble additional boxes. Thank you!
