VIRTUAL CLASSES
I will also be available via Google Meet at specific times. Google Meet is a video conferencing app which will also be used periodically so that I can check in with students. I will not be on Google Meet all day, but will post specific times for students on Google Classroom so that they know when they can check in with me on Google Meet.
Each morning, assignments will be posted on Google Classroom at or before 8:00 A.M. Students will be expected to complete those assignments just as they would if we were at school.
Parents, you can also contact if you need help with technology or have a question about an assignment. The best way for parents to reach me in through Class DOJO or email.
CHOCOLATE MILK ESSAY
FREE SUBSCRIPTIONS FOR STUDENTS
Here's the entire list of education companies offering FREE subscriptions due to school closings. We will be using some of these in our online class over the next couple of weeks, but I wanted to make the list available to you all in case you are looking for other ways to engage your child.
Keep in mind that students also have access to Brainpop, Studies Weekly, myON, Renaissance (AR) and more through MYBACKPACK.
On Friday, students also created FRECKLE accounts for ELA. If your child was not in class on Friday, he or she can find the class code on Google Classroom. Freckle (ELA) will allow students to practice reading (fiction and non-fiction) and grammar skills. I will be asking students to use FRECKLE regularly each week as part of their online assignment, but students are welcome to get on more if they'd like.
