New staff update: You might remember a long time ago, we were allotted an additional special education teaching assistant due to our high number of special education students. Well, if you didn't, don't worry. It was a really, really long time ago. Anyway, we have found a person to fill the job. Her name is Renee Valencia. She was a PE teacher at Baranoff ES up until 2014 for 6 years. She taught PE in Round Rock for 4 years as well. She took off time to be with her child. She is currently work at Cowan Cadets day care (the one we have here (ours is Boone Cadets)). She will start with us on Monday, November 30th. You will see her running around in various different inclusion or learning lab groups. We have her very busy. We are excited to have her with us.
Donuts for Dads was a huge success! They loved it and everyone was able to come and go based on their schedule. Thank you to those who came early to watch kids. And huge thanks to special areas for hosting and buying and serving.
Boone University is over for the semester. Your final grade will be determined by your survey. Just kidding. I love the feedback so keep it coming. Lots and lots of positives and good suggestions for next time.
The AVID site visit was great. The 5th grade team had a lot of RAVES! Go team. They went to UT this week for a college visit and the kids had a blast.
