And the Winner is...
Region 1 Leadership and Skills Conference is a huge success!
Largest SkillsUSA Conference in Region 1 History
With well over 200 in attendance, the Region 1 Skills and Leadership Conference made history this past Saturday. While still one of the smallest regions in the state, this is the most competitors and advisers on one campus since it's inception. We'd like to thank our host, SVCTE, and it's outstanding staff that made this day possible. Thank you Kurt Cheetsos, Gina Fleming and Sharon Brown for your support, planning and outstanding leadership.
A very special thank you to the industry judges and professionals who assisted with running and preparing our contests. Without you, these events cannot take place. You are the backbone of the organization and we look forward to working with you again next year.
And finally, thank you to the advisers, parents and students who gave up a Saturday to "take the next step". We hope this event was rewarding and fulfilling in your pursuit of career goals. It will always be our mission to provide you with outstanding educational programs, events and competitions that support career technical education. Congratulations to all of our medal winners on Saturday! We are proud of you and wish you the best of luck in San Diego this April.
