Piaf ~ The Songs

In Edith Piaf's 100th Anniversary year, Eve Loiseau sings the songs of Edith Piaf with Fiona Barrow (violin) and Murray Grainger (accordion).

Eve Loiseau's lustrous French tone captures the essence of the Piaf performance in this tribute to the 'Little Sparrow'. Since her debut at the Royal Festival Hall in 2002, Eve has given recitals in England, New York and France and has also featured on BBC R3, WNYC Radio and PNW Music.

She also performs with Canteve Vocale, and the Baroque ensemble Duo Dolcetini.

Piaf - The Songs

Piaf's life was the stuff of legend, from her dramatic rise from Paris street urchin to star of international renown.

Her life, however, was anything but 'La Vie en Rose'. Ravaged by pain and injury, ever searching for comfort and solace, she was never able to believe that she was indeed loved by countless fans the world over.

Set against atmospheric shots of 1940s Paris or of Piaf on stage, the mix of live singing, narrative, instrumentals and film takes the audience nostalgically back to a France that has almost disappeared.
