Set #6

Life expectancy-

Life expectancy is the expected length of life

Life expectancy in Saudi Arabia

Life expectancy in Saudi Arabia is very high. Their life expectancy is 75.50 years.Saudi Arabia increased their life expectancy by 15 years past 30 years. This might be because their GDP per capita went up by about 5%. This makes people in Saudi Arabia get better products. Also, oil made people in Saudi Arabia better off because it made Saudi Arabian's government rich and government helped people in Saudi Arabia on transportation, hospital, and profit.

Infant Mortality-

The death of children under the age of one year.

Infant mortality rate of southwest Asia

Infant mortality in southwest Asia is slightly lower than the world average. Saudi Arabia's infant mortality rate went down by about two thirds from past 30 years. This is because the money came from oil helped people in Saudi Arabia to be better off by getting money to build hospitals and other things that help them.

GDP(Gross Domestic Product)-

The monetary value of all the finished goods and services produced within country's borders in a specific time period.

GDP in south Asia

south Asia's GDP is $2.368 trillion (in 2013). GDP in south Asian countries that are rich in oil, change their GDP as the oil revenues. This is because the countries that are rich in oil depend on money made from oil. I know this because Saudi Arabia got really rich from oil.

GDP per capita-

A measure of all the total output of a country that takes the gross domestic product and divides it by the number of people in the country.

GDP per capita in southwest Asia

GDP per capita in southwest Asia is different in every country. For example, the largest difference between two countries are Yemen($800) and United Arab Emirates($25200).GDP per capita has increased by about 5% past 30 years. I found out that smaller countries have more chance of getting more GDP per capita than the larger countries in Asia because there are fewer people.

conclusion

southern Asia's Life expectancy, Infant Mortality, GDP, and GDP per capita is mostly dependent on money from oil. Money from oil made people in south Asia benefit. People in south Asia knows that the oil is a non-renewable resource, so they are preparing for when the oil runs out by getting energy from other renewable resources.
