Ventana Vistas

Hope you enjoy your winter break! See you in 2019.

Science Fair

Turn in your project proposal forms into the VV office before Jan 18, 2019.

Start planning your projects now because they do take some time to complete.

Our science fair follows the SARSEF rules and 10 projects (1 from each grade and 4 at-large) will be chosen to compete with other projects from southern Arizona at SARSEF, March 6-9, 2019. VV usually has several winning projects at SARSEF so let’s keep the tradition going.

· The SARSEF website http://sarsef.org is a great resource for project ideas, guidelines and planning tips. Click on students at the top of the front page and then navigate within the menu on the left

· Guidelines for elementary students can be found at http://sarsef.org/students/elementary/step-by-step/

http://sarsef.org/students/elementary/rule-check/

· 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students can also give a 5 minutes oral presentation about their project if they want. This is a great way to tell your project’s story.

· Students may work in pairs or small groups (3-4) if they wish. Please designate this on the project proposal form.

· Please feel free to contact Ray Runyon with any questions. jrayrunyon@gmail.com, 303-995-2624

The Science Fair is funded by the Ventana Vista FFO.
