A "Thorce" to be reckoned with
an adventure of three different Thors as they discover art
Introduction
throughout Macon there are several different types of Greek pillars, and columns to explore and look at me and we went adventuring to discover them all.
Doric order
the first one we encountered was of the Doric order near our school. the defining factor of these pillars are the similar top and bottom as well as what they are holding up.
Ionic order
next on our great adventure we appeared down town by the power of thunder magic! upon arrival we found a column of the Ionic order which is very similar except for the top which has a scroll like structure and a flat base like the Doric order.
Corinthian Order
lastly we flew down the road with our hammer (singular, budget cuts) upon our landing we discovered the Corinthian style of pillars as shown in the photograph. these columns are defined by their plant like structure up at the top based on a very widely growing plant in Corinth
