Invasive Species to Florda

Burmese Pythons

Burmese Pythons are a group of one of the biggest Snakes in the world. Burmese Pythons originated from South and Southeast Asia. Now you may ask yourself " why are they invasive if they are in Asia and not doing any harm?" Well you see, they have recently been invading Florida. Burmese Pythons got into Florida because they were suppose to be in the zoo but some escaped and mated, after this, many more have been transferred and they also re-produced and that grew the population of them in Florida.

Burmese Pythons

What's Going On

Burmese Pythons have been eating all of the native animals of Florida and that a big problem for them because some of their animals what represent them. You're probably thinking " just kill them all" see that's not the case since that would be way to difficult, there are too many of them and that is very dangerous and even if that happened, their population would not be as much. People have not yet found a solution yet for this situation but some ideas that we have are people can take them as pets and they would not do any harm. People could also take the eggs from the parents and wait for them to hatch and release them into the wild where they no they will do no harm and they could also do that with the parents too.
