National Director
ND's remarks
...stress and anxiety.
The LEAP 3 process is not being done for performance reasons or directed at individual employees but rather focused on helping us realize the following benefits;
· Alignment of our programming with our strategy,
· Improve scale, quality and impact of our programme.
· Evidence based good practices that will lead to improved designs for effective and tangible impact.
· Simplified business processes where support offices will agree with national offices on the design of the programmes and the budget before implementation begins and that in itself creates an atmosphere of common understanding between the two parties.
· Bring integration across all types of programmes
· More effectively promote and contribute to the well-being of vulnerable children as outlined in our Child Well-being outcomes; given that reporting on our child wellbeing will be easier due to the use of standard indicators.
A document of frequently asked questions (FAQs) about the ongoing LEAP3 process is being developed and will be shared as well. The questions will be generated primarily from feedback by ADP managers, Sector Advisors, and National Office department head during the two forums mentioned above.
I encourage line managers to meet with their teams and interact further with the document once they receive it and where necessary to escalate any further questions, in this way, we hope to walk together and involve everyone in this change process.
I pray that we can all seek God’s guidance to take us through this process.
Next week we shall be in a face to face discussion with Support offices, the region and the global centre representatives and together I believe we shall contextualize the process further.
OUR VOICE survey; We have also come to yet another critical period as world vision staff, a time for OUR VOICE survey. This is a survey that helps us as staff to share thoughts and experiences that will help move the organisation in the right direction. I urge each one of you to take time to complete the survey and ensure that your voices are heard.
The upcoming general election; As a leadership we are also concerned for the general security of our staff and the communities we work with as we near the general elections. World Vision supports the ongoing democratic process and encourages all World Vision staff and the communities we work among to take their civic responsibility seriously.
Voting is part of one’s constitutional right and provides an opportunity to contribute to good governance. On this note; we have decided as SLT that Friday 27th be a half day to allow you time to travel to your voting stations so that you can exercise this right.
I pray that staff and communities will vote wisely and peacefully choosing leaders whom they believe will promote improvement in the well-being of children, families and communities especially the most vulnerable and address structures and systems that perpetuate injustice and inequality in Lesotho.
Remember that World Vision assets should not be used to promote political campaigns. These include vehicles, computers, printers, furniture, phones, staff time and WVL premises and development interventions. World Vision directs its staff to remain neutral on issues pertaining to parties and candidates contesting in the upcoming general elections during the course of their work.
Let us continue to pray for strength and joy as we serve the Lord.
With God all things are possible. (Philippians 4:13).
