Many many mixtures

Ingredients
Hot water, borax, white glue, corn meal, salt, baking powder, sugar, wax paper, 2 beakers, 1/2 cup, 1 table spoon, 1/2 tea spoon, and 5 small containers.
The different goos
- #1: 1/2 cup hot water, 1 table spoon borax, 1 table spoon water, 1 table spoon glue.
- #2: 1/2 cup hot water, 1 table spoon borax, 1 table spoon water, 1 table spoon glue, 1/2 tea spoon salt.
- #3: 1/2 cup hot water, 1 table spoon borax, 1 table spoon water, 1 table spoon glue, 1/2 tea spoon corn meal.
- #4: 1/2 cup hot water, 1 table spoon borax, 1 table spoon water, 1 table spoon glue, 1/2 tea spoon baking powder.
- #5: 1/2 cup hot water, 1 table spoon borax, 1 table spoon water, 1 table spoon glue, 1/2 tea spoon.
How to put the ingredients together
- #1: in one beaker put 1/2 cup of HOT water and 1 table spoon of borax. In another beaker put 1 table spoon of water and a table spoon of glue. After mixing both mixtures add them together and stir.
- #2: repeat the steps of #1 but add 1/2 tea spoon of salt to the beaker with the glue BEFORE you mix the two beakers together.
- #3 repeat the steps of #1 but add 1/2 tea spoon of corn meal BEFORE you mix the two beakers. DO NOT ADD THE SALT TO THIS ONE!!!!
- #4: repeat the steps of #1 but add 1/2 tea spoon I'd baking powder BEFORE you mix the two beakers. DO NOT ADD THE SALT OR CORN MEAL TO THIS ONE!!!
- #5: repeat the steps of #1 bUT add 1/2 tea spoon of sugar BEFORE you mix the two beakers. DO NOT ADD SALT, CORN MEAL, OR BAKING POWDER TO THIS ONE!!!
What is in the ingredients
Corn meal: dried maize, and flour
Salt: sodium chloride(NaCl), rock salt (halite)
Baking powder: chemical leaving agent
Sugar: Sugar crystals, residual molasses
Borax: anhydrous borax, borax pentahydrate, borax decahydrate
White glue: chemicaly based, synthetic materials, polymers.
Conclusion
- #1 turned out gooey but it tares so it is not stretchy.
- #2 turned out hard, and it crumbles when held or messed with.
- #3 was stretchy and had a yellow tint, it also had a grainy texture.
- #4 turned out was stretchy but had lots of liquid when moved.
- #5 was stretchy and would probably be the one you would want to mess with.
