Iditarod presentation

Rising climate forces changes to be made in the iditarod?

Race officials are importing snow!

The warming climate is melting all the snow in the Iditarod which is keeping the race to continue. To solve this massive problem, race officials are importing snow and mushers are having to adapt to the change. Without the snow the race we have come to love would not be able to continue so this solution is crucial to the race.

Still too warm!

Even with the imported snow Alaska's new warm climate is still too warm to sustain the cold snowy climate needed for the race to continue. To solve this big problem, race officials and mushers are having to move the races starting point farther North where temperatures are colder. Without this solution the Iditarod would still suffer from melting snow except this time it would be melted IMPORTED snow.
