Quarter 2 Clubs

Quarter 2 Clubs began on Monday, October 28, and will end on Friday, December 13. Students not picked up from their club dismissal on time are subject to $1 per minute late fee for every minute the child is not picked up. Elementary students are dismissed at 4 pm from the bus side only (on the east side of our campus). MYP students are dismissed at 5 pm, from the bus side as well.

Daylight Savings Time Ends

Daylight Savings Time ends on Sunday, November 3, at 2 am. At this time, our clocks will 'fall back' by one hour. Enjoy your extra hour!

Surfside Safari

Eligible 3rd Grade students will attend their Surfside Safari field trip during the first week of November. For more excursion details and unanswered questions, please contact your child's teacher by email.

MYP Basketball Season

Our 2019-2020 Basketball Season has begun! All families are invited to support our school as our MYP athletes face their opponents this season. Game times, dates and locations are located on our website but subject to change. Fees may be charged for entrance to games.

Veterans' Appreciation

Our Veterans' Appreciation Breakfast will be held on Wednesday, November 6. We will be paying a special tribute and giving thanks to all veterans who served our country honorably during war and peacetime. We will be honoring our military members with an Appreciation Breakfast after the flag ceremony.

Read for The Record

Our Kindergarten students will take part in a “Read for the Record” event on November 7. Each student will receive the book, Thank You Omu by Oge Mora, and participate in the event on campus.

Safety Patrol Pinning Ceremony

Our Safety Patrol Pinning ceremony will take place on Thursday, November 8, for all students involved.

Science Bus On-Site Experience!

Our eligible students in 2nd grade will participate in the on-site experience on the Science Bus on Friday, November 8!

Lost & Found Donations

Please encourage your child to stop by our Lost and Found and pick up any of their lost items by Friday, November 8. Any items not retrieved by the deadline will be donated!


Thank you to all those that participated in our Socktober event! Students donated over 2,000 pairs of socks that will be given on November 8 to the Broward Partnership, whose mission is to help individuals and families find their way back from homelessness.

Box Tops For Education Dress Down Day!

Students who submitted 10 or more Box Tops by the October 31 deadline are eligible to 'dress down' appropriately on November 15!

Families can continue submitting their Box Tops For Education electronically during the 2019-2020 school year! Box Tops For Education has transitioned to be a digital program. By downloading the app to your cell phone and scanning your shopping receipts, the app will automatically recognize all eligible products.

Event Parking

If you are attending an event being held at our campus, please use only the parking areas provided by Franklin Academy. Illegally parked vehicles in the neighboring storage unit property areas are subject to being removed from their parked position by a towing vehicle.

Square 1 Art

Your child's unique artwork is available for purchase on novelty gift items such as stationery, accessories, personalized items for you, your office and home! Shop online at by November 12, or with a check or money-order by November 8, and submit to your child's homeroom teacher.

Harvest Drive

Students can bring in canned or boxed Thanksgiving meal items to their homeroom teacher during the first two weeks of November for our Harvest Drive! Grocery gift cards are also acceptable items for the Harvest Drive baskets that our classes will make for those less fortunate than us. Please see our Harvest Drive flyer for more details.

Monday November 11

On Monday, November 11, there will not be school for students and our offices will be closed. Classes will resume for students on Tuesday, November 12, and our offices will be open.

Boca Raton Museum of Art

Eligible NJAHS students will attend a field trip to the Boca Raton Museum of Art on Tuesday, November 12. All information has been shared with those students and their families by Dr. Lubiner.

Spirit Stick Orders

Students can purchase their Spirits Sticks to 'dress down' on the remaining four (4) assigned days during the school year. The Spirit Stick Order Form must be completed and received by the homeroom teacher, along with the payment by check or money-order, made payable to Franklin Academy PTO only. No online payments will be accepted.
