The Center for English as a Second Language (CESL)
- Established in 1968
- Students receive superior English language instruction in grammar, reading, and oral and written communication
- The curriculum provides a rich and engaging learning environment, which prepares students for university academic study, social settings and professional success
- CESL is the only English program in Arizona with center-wide accreditation from the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA)
Intensive English Program (IEP)
- Only program in Arizona accredited by the Commission on English programs Accreditation (CEA)
- ·8-week sessions
- Sessions begin in August, October, January, March, and June
- 7 levels of instruction, from beginning to advanced
- The program includes 20-22 hours of instruction per week
- Total of 180 hours per 8-week session (per level)
- Class size: 18-20
- Upon arrival students take a placement test
- Initial application fee: $110 USD
- Cost for 8-week session $3255 tuition and fees
- The estimated cost of living for 8 week is an extra $3500 for food, housing, transportation, and books
