Hi! My name is Jamie Simpson-Smith and I've been a Scentsy Family Consultant for about 7 months. Although I'm relatively new to this awesome company, I'm not new to direct sales. In the past I've also sold Pampered Chef. Home Interiors & Gifts and a couple of others. I was first introduced to Scentsy in 2008 when our family moved to Meridian, Idaho from Anchorage, Alaska. My husband is active duty Air Force and is stationed out at Mountain Home AFB. Upon purchasing our home in Meridian, the builder presented us with the Rustic Star warmer as a home warming gift. At first I was super skeptical, Scentsy hadn't made it's way up to Alaska yet (and home parties are HUGE up there) and I'd been selling jar candles for years through Home Interiors & Gifts. However, having been a property manager in Alaska I knew the damage that candles could do and after about 6 months of staring at the box, I finally opened it...I was hooked immediately! After the birth of my son I realized that I was probably going to be home with my 3 kids for quite a while. I started to look at different companies and what potential they might offer in this area. Although I loved Scentsy, I was extremely worried about over-saturation in my area. In 2011, I decided to become even more involved with my local Girl Scout Service Unit (at this point I was about to start my 4th year as a troop leader) where I became friends with Kim Sigston. After being my "Scentsy lady" for a while she offered me some info on Joining. I looked it over and was very interested but still worried about the saturation in my area. I knew I'd love to be a part of this company and Kim's passion for the Scentsy Family was contagious! Finally after almost 3 years of debating with myself, 2 Joining packets and LOTS of chats I decided to sign-up for both Velata and Scentsy on January 31, 2014! I earned a completely FREE Scentsy Shooting Star Kit and made Scentsational Start Level 1 :) I absolutely LOVE this company and can't wait to see where I can go with MY business!
