Happy Thanksgiving
I hope everyone enjoyed a lovely Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends!! This is a special time of year and I wish you all a happy and healthy holiday season!
Student Shout Out
HUGE Shout Out to our students who used the holiday to get caught up. Several students were busy over the break and turning in that missing work is helping your grade. Great job making up your missing work. Myself and your grade are stoked!!!!
Progress Reports
We have another Progress Report coming out tomorrow. They will be sent to your individual schools tomorrow, Wednesday, November 29th. You can check your grades by reviewing your Grades tab on the left hand side of the screen.
- Click the Grades button on the left of the screen
- Pay special attention to scores with a - or a 0. This means you have not completed the assignment and you should do so ASAP.
- Incomplete work and 0s hurt your grade. :(
- Progress Reports come out every two weeks.
- The grading Period ends January 8th.
- Call me with specific questions about your grade at (252) 256-7082
-This video will help: http://www.screencast.com/t/6AXeMZdu8u
The Grading Period ends January 12th, 2018.
You are not bothering me. :) Yo soy tu profesor de español. I am here to help you learn Spanish and technology skills. Please don't ever hesitate to ask me any questions that you have about the course. :)
Feel free to contact me to discuss any concerns that you may have. Best.

Only the assignments listed there will be counted for your grade. The Práctica and Actividades activities are practice and do not count for your grade, although they MUST be completed in order to move forward in the course.
Required Live Class (RLC) Schedule
The purpose of the Required Live Classes (RLC) is to give students access to their teachers for lessons, Q & A and support in their Spanish classes. The RLC sessions are offered every week at a variety of times. You may attend any session you like. Choose the one that best fits your schedule.
Here is a Google Calendar link to all the Spanish 1 sessions:
Just pay attention to the times, dates and topics:
Remember GS = Getting Started
U1 = Unit 1
U2 = Unit 2
After attending each session, you need to complete a brief reflective assignment including the following items:
When did you attend (provide date and time)?
Who was the teacher/presenter?
What did you cover/learn? (You should include a complete copy of your notes with at least 10 specific things discussed/covered.)
What do you still have questions about? (You should always have questions, so do NOT put "none.")
What do you need to work on/improve? (This should be specific, regarding at least one thing that was discussed in the session.)
How do you plan to improve in the area/s listed above? (Again, be as specific as possible.)
How can I (your teacher) help you? (Again, be as specific as possible.)
Please use COMPLETE SENTENCES in your responses and submit this at the bottom of the RLC Assignment page.
