To be considered for a scholarship from The Susan T. Buffett Foundation, a student must:
- Be a resident of Nebraska
- Graduate from a Nebraska high school or earn a Nebraska GED
- Achieve at least a 2.5 cumulative unweighted GPA in high school
- 2.5 on a 4 point scale
- 80 on a 100 point scale
- Be a first-time freshman when entering college
- Students obtaining dual enrollment credits in high school are still eligible to apply
- Plan to attend any of the following Nebraska public institutions:
- Nebraska Community Colleges - Central, Metropolitan, Mid-Plains, Northeast, Southeast, or Western Nebraska;
- Nebraska State College System - Chadron State, Peru State, Wayne State; or
- University of Nebraska - NCTA, UNK, UNL, UNMC, or UNO
- Be in need of financial assistance in order to attend school
- Note: Students do not need to be Pell Grant eligible to qualify
- Students with an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) below $15,000 are encouraged to apply

Scholarship Amounts
Scholarships are awarded with amounts of $500; $1,000; $1,500; or $2,000.
Eligibility
Applicants must volunteer a minimum of 110 hours at Faith Regional Health Services to be eligible to apply for a scholarship. Cumulative hours may be submitted from active status date through March 31 of the year applying for a scholarship. Once hours have been totaled and submitted for an application, that volunteer's service hours will be re-set to zero unless a scholarship is not awarded in which case the hours will continue to accumulate for future re-application. Volunteers are eligible to re-apply for a scholarship as long as all requirements are met. Volunteers not in good standing (3 missed assignments or 5 unexcused tardies) will not be considered.

DO I QUALIFY FOR NEBRASKA COLLEGEBOUND AID?
You do if you meet these criteria:
· Nebraska resident
· Full-time (12 credit hours or more) undergraduate student at the University of Nebraska
· Pell Grant recipient
· Maintain a 2.5 grade point average
And the program is simple. There is no separate application. Eligible students are identified automatically through the annual Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application.
There is no set income level to qualify, but a general guideline is that a typical family of four with one student in college and an annual family income of $53,000 or less may qualify for Collegebound Nebraska assistance.

The Nebraska State College System Advantage offers a way for the Nebraska State College System to serve students, area communities and the state of Nebraska. The NSCS Advantage guarantees that first-time freshmen students who receive federal Pell Grants will pay no tuition at Chadron, Peru orWayne State College. The award is renewable.

To receive the NSCS Advantage, a student must be:
- A resident of Nebraska
- A federal Pell Grant recipient
- Enrolled in at least 12 on-campus credit hours
The award is limited to a maximum of 16 credit hours per semester. Additional limitations are in place for the award of any remissions for online courses taken in addition to the 12 on-campus credit hours. The award is not available for transfer students.
The NSCS Advantage provides the difference between the cost of tuition and the amount of all other awards. Other awards include Pell, Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG), Nebraska Scholarship Grant (NSG), Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG), institutional waivers, foundation scholarship assistance, community award and other awards from outside the college.
Participation is limited to semesters during which a Pell Grant is received. Students must be enrolled in at least 12 on-campus credit hours.

The Elks National Foundation will award 500 four-year scholarships to the highest-rated applicants in the 2016 competition.
- Any high school senior who is a citizen of the United States is eligible to apply.
- Applicants need not be related to a member of the Elks.
- College students are not eligible to apply.
- Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are signed; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.
- Male and female students compete separately.
The 2016 Most Valuable Student scholarship contest is open to any high school senior who is a US Citizen. Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need. Applications for the 2016 contest are available to download after September 1, 2015. The application must be submitted to the Elks Lodge nearest to the applicant's home by December 4, 2015. Amount: One $500 scholarship
This will be sent to the college of the designee's choice payable to school and recipient when state secretary is advised of official enrollment in school.
Qualifications:
- Complete the application blank in full. Must be signed and dated.
- Must be a participant in high school golf and plan to participate in a college golf program if possible.
- May attend either a two or a four-year college.
- Be certain that the Exalted Ruler has signed the application.
- Limited to one applicant from each Lodge. Each Lodge may receive several applications, but must select one to be submitted. All applications must be submitted to the local lodge by January 15th for judging.

Amount: Two (one boy and one girl) $1,100 first place
Two (one boy and one girl) $800 second place
Two (one boy and one girl) $600 third place
Payable: At the time the state secretary-treasurer of the PER's is notified of official enrollments at school. The scholarship will be paid directly to the school.
Qualifications:
- Open to any high school senior
- The application blank must be filled out completely with ALL blanks filled in. All other information must be attached to the application.
- BASIC EMPHASIS WILL BE ON NEED
- Be certain that the Exalted Ruler has signed and dated the application
- No restrictions on the type of school you will attend
- Limited to one boy and one girl application from each Lodge. In other words, each Lodge may receive several entries, but must select one each to be submitted to State PER Scholarship Committee for final judging.
- The current application blanks will be the only ones judged. All previous forms are null and void.
- ALL INFORMATION SUBMITTED IN THIS APPLICATION IS SOLELY FOR THE USE OF THE NEBRASKA ELKS ASSOCIATION.
- Students may apply to only ONE Elks Lodge.
- If more applications are needed, you may reproduce additional copies of the forms provided.
- All applications should be returned to local Lodge by January 15 for judging.

Access Nebraska Wesleyan University offers full tuition for Nebraska students who meet academic and financial need qualifications. After state and federal grants are applied to a student’s financial aid award, Nebraska Wesleyan University will provide scholarships equal to the cost of tuition. Funds are limited to 50 new applicants each year and provided to students on a first-come, first-serve basis. Applications are being accepted immediately.
To qualify, a student must:
- be a Nebraska resident
- earn a composite ACT score of 25 or higher (test score must be received by NWU prior to June 1 of student's graduation year).
- earn a high school GPA of 3.0 or higher
- be Federal Pell Grant eligible with an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $1,000 or less as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- be a first-year, first-time student
- carry a full-time academic course load of 12-18 credit hours per semester
- live in NWU residential housing

Omaha Archdiocesan Council of National Council of Catholic Women Scholarship

RHOP - Rural Health Opportunities Program

The RHOP program was designed to address the special needs of rural Nebraska by encouraging rural students to pursue a career in health care fields in rural Nebraska.
If selected, you will receive a tuition waver from the state college applied to and are guaranteed admission to the University of Nebraska based upon successfull completion of your pre-professional studies at your state college, appropriate GPA and exemplary conduct.

FONTANELLE HYBRIDS 2016 ESSAY CONTEST
As proud members of your community, we’re excited to give back – $1,000 at a time. We’re offering twenty, $1,000 prizes to high school seniors who are active members of 4-H, FFA or another certified agricultural organization through our 2016 Essay Contest.
HOW TO ENTER:
Entrants must submit a 250-word essay answering “What has had the greatest impact on production agriculture in your local community over the last 80 years?” Entries must be well-written, demonstrate commitment to the agricultural community and articulate ideas for future involvement. We will award $1,000 each to 20 winners who either live or go to school in the state of Nebraska.
ENTRY PERIOD:
Applications will be accepted beginning Oct. 1, 2015. The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. CST, Nov. 30, 2015. Winners will be announced in Spring 2016.

Yankton Medical Clinic, P.C. Scholarship
Deadline: March
Through our strong desire to promote higher education, and to provide resources for our youth to seek higher education, Yankton Medical Clinic, P.C. will be awarding four $1,000 scholarships to area high school seniors. The scholarship awards will be used toward the educational costs of attending an institution of higher learning.
Each school may send in a maximum of three applications for consideration. Notification of scholarship awards will be sent to all guidance counselor offices in May.
Johnhy Baxter Carriage House Foundation

For students interested in attending one of Nebraska's Community Colleges to study in an automotive relative field. A $1,000 grant will be awarded in each of the six Community College areas in Nebraska for students pursuing training for an automotive career. Students who meet the following criteria may submit application form:
- All seniors planning to attend a Nebraska Community college the following fall.
- Applicants must be planning to enroll in one of the automotive related courses of study.
- Applicant must submit a letter of recommendation from at least one teacher describing the applicant's aptitude and attitude and student must include a transcript of his/her grades.
- Applicant must submit a cover letter to be attached to the applicant form indicating his/her interest in the automotive field and their plan for technical training.
- An interview and reference letter from a New Car Dealer would be given additional consideration.
- Applicant must meet above criteria and submit his/her application to the Carriage House Foundation no later than the deadline date.
Nebraska School Counselor Association Scholarship
Deadline: April 1
Must be a high school senior attending a public or private-secondary school in Nebraska.
Must attend a post-secondary institution during the following school year.
The scholarship will be paid directly to the institution.
The James M. Cox Foundation Scholarship
Deadline: April 15
The $1,000 scholarship will be paid directly to the institution of higher education that the student chooses to attend. (If the student attends only one-year, the institution will return $500 to the Foundation.)
The Trustees of the James M. Cox Foundation would like to inform you of some of the broad parameters we use in determining which applicants will be awarded scholarships.
- The student must be a current year high school graduate with an academic record that indicates he/she will be successful in the field of higher education he/she has chosen. Students completing a GED are also eligible.
- The Scholarships are awarded on the basis of need, and therefore, we request that a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) must be completed.
- In addition to factors reflected in the FAFSA we pay particular attention the the parent's Adjusted Gross Income, the number of dependents on the tax return, and the total number of dependents who will be attending an institution of higher education the following year.
- Essays and letters of recommendation are also considered.
