Welcome Mrs. Carrillo
New K-2 Spanish Teacher
Dear K-2 Parents,
We are pleased to announce that Mrs. Allison Carrillo officially accepted the K-2 Spanish position this week. We are excited to have her start immediately on February 22nd and finish the semester with students. Language development is certainly an important component of learning. Therefore, we are beyond blessed to have found a licensed educator aligned with our vision to serve in this capacity. K-2 students will now have either music or physical education once a week (previous schedule was twice a week). Therefore, students will engage in each co-curricular class once a week (Music, Art, Physical Education, Spanish, and Media). Here is a brief bio of Mrs. Carrillo. We are excited to have her at a Traders Point!
Allison Carrillo has taught Spanish for five years. She has a passion for enabling children to bridge cultural and language gaps; to widen their horizons, and enrich their relationships with others. Allison is an active member of Clearnote Church. She serves as a Sunday school teacher and a mentor to girls within a youth group. She learned to speak Spanish through high school and college programs. She knows firsthand the benefits of being bilingual as her husband’s family is Venezuelan and speak Spanish in their home. She is very thankful for the opportunity to work at Traders Point and is excited to bring the Spanish language and culture to the early elementary students.
Please join us in warmly welcoming Mrs. Carrillo to Traders Point Christian Academy!
